7.5 Export Files

All you newly created files are saved within your workspace in geotiff format. However, if you want to export files you can do so by selecting one or mor files you want to export and selecting export file from the context menu.

Select which as filetype you want to export your file by selecting the appropriate exporter. You can choose

  • Geotiff
  • Ascii

If you choose Ascii as you output filetype your files may become quite big. Therefore you should only use this exporter if you have enough workspace on your harddrive.

Hinweis: If you choos Geotiff as your output format you can choose between different compression options influencing the size of your output file.

These options are

  • TFW: Choose whether you want to create a TFW file, which are needed by some programs for georeferencing.
  • Compress: Choose between different compression types. Be aware that not all programs can decompress each type.
  • Predictor: Set the predictor for the selected compression format. The default is 1 (no predictor), 2 is horizontal differencing and 3 is floating point prediction.
  • ZLevel: Set the level of compression (only relevant when using DEFLATE compression). 9 is the highest and 1 the lowest compression.
